Walden Media and BlueNose Partner in New Scriptwriting Contest!

This year’s film contest is based on Walden Media’s upcoming teen movie “Bandslam”, to be released this August in theatre’s nationwide!

The free standards-based lesson plans (Bandslam 201-208) will help prepare your students to participate in the contest for valuable prizes!

A panel of judges comprised of educators and leaders in film will judge the entries.

(Each student may select one of the following contest category options.)

Write a one-page synopsis of a sequel to Bandslam.
Write a one-page new scene that might be included in Bandslam.
Write a one-page dialogue between two or more characters in Bandslam.
Write a one-page flashback experienced by a character in Bandslam.
Write a one-page explanation of how one or more themes underlie Bandslam.
Choose your favorite character from Bandslam and explain your choice in one page.

Teachers use BlueNose lesson plans (Bandslam 201-208) to engage students in submitting their written entries.

All entries must be the original work of the student.
Participants will attach a BlueNose entry form with each individual entry.
Contact information and actual copy must be written or printed clearly
or typewritten.
Teachers will submit one Teacher's Form for each group of student
entries and mail the completed package to:
